Pick a pearl at Epcot Japan

0

The Pick a Pearl booth is located in the Mitsukoshi department store, in the heart of Epcot’s Japanese pavilion. The process is simple, fun, and makes a great gift for a new girlfriend, mom, or even a little girl. Part of the fun is choosing the right oyster and then watching your pearl unfold. There is no way to determine in advance what shape, shade or size your pearl will be, so surprise is part of the fun of this attraction.

Choose a pearl process:

  1. Buy a pearl ticket at any cash register in Mitsukoshi department store. Pearl tickets are $ 15.95 each or about $ 17.00 with tax. This does not include a setting for your pearl.
  2. Select an oyster from one of the two beds at the Pearl Station. The external appearance of the oyster does not influence the size, shape or color of the pearl it contains.
  3. The pearl station clerk will cut the oyster open, revealing its pearl. Pearls will vary in size; Some oysters even contain twins!
  4. The pearl will receive a quick cleaning and size will be measured, then presented to you. You can select a setting right now or take your pearl home with you. The configuration varies in price but starts at less than $ 20.

Advice

  • We guarantee that you will get a pearl. On the rare occasions when an oyster is empty, the customer can select another to taste.
  • Budget around $ 40 for a pearl in a setting if you want to take home a complete piece.
  • Stop by Pearl Station before or after a dinner reservation at Teppan Edo or Tokyo Dining.
