Pirelli confirms tires for F1 treble after break

Formula 1 tried to introduce a change in the technical regulations to make the races a show full of overtaking and hand-to-hand fights, and for this reason, the only tire supplier of the highest category of motorsport, Pirelli , had to adapt to the modifications .

After reaching an agreement to increase the size of the compounds from 13 to 18 inches, the fastest single-seaters on the planet have shown until the summer break that they can put up a good battle in 2022, just what they intend to do in the next three appointments, of which we already know which tires will accompany the riders.

After almost a month without activity on the track, the Grand Circus will arrive at the legendary Spa-Francorchamps track on the last weekend of August to contest the 14th round of the course, where Max Verstappen has a huge advantage in the classification compared to his immediate pursuer, Charles Leclerc. The two, like the rest of the grid, will have at their disposal, as usual, three different rubber compounds, which in this case will be C2 (white), C3 (yellow) and C4 (red), ordered from higher to lower hardness.

However, Formula 1 will not stop, and after the summer break there will be a triplet of races, where the Zandvoort circuit will follow Belgium . In the Netherlands , the teams will be able to choose between the hardest range of Pirelli, since the track where Verstappen will receive all the local support, the C1 (hard), C2 (medium) and C3 (soft) compounds will travel.

For the last test of these frenetic weeks, that of the Italian Grand Prix in another of the myths of the category, Monza, the home of Ferrari, in addition to that of Pirelli, the tire manufacturer will take the same choice as in Spa-Francorchamps , with the C2, C3 and C4 .
