How to evolve Wurmple into Beautifly or Dustox
The first thing to keep in mind is that there is no reliable method to obtain any of the two evolutions in particular of Wurmple. Therefore, it does not matter the gender of the Pokémon, the time you choose, the time it is in the game, etc., because the result is random.
So, if you exchange 12 Wurmple candies, it will evolve into Silcoon or Cascoon . Both have the same chances of appearing, so you will have no choice but to capture enough Pokémon in case you want to have more options to get one in particular.
That said, if you do get Silcoon, you’ll need another 50 Wurmple Candy for it to evolve into Beautifly . Similarly, if you get Cascoon, you will have to spend 50 Wurmple Candies for Dustox to become part of your collection. Best of luck in the process!
