The Honda rider finished sixth in the afternoon session on the second day of the official MotoGP test in Misano, just over half a second behind the reference set by his brother Aleix, and beating his teammate Marc Márquez by 15 thousandths, some times marked on the handlebars of the HRC 2022 prototype.
“I’m quite happy, but like all new bikes it has its positive and negative aspects”, explained Pol at the end of the day. “We are working hard to try to enhance the most positive parts, but it is not something that is easy on a new bike,” he added.
“The sensations in general are good and we have been able to make a good pace with it. I am able to go fast with a completely new bike and that is very positive”, he stressed.
However, Polyccio is aware that the final machine for next season is far from being the one they have been testing these two days at Misano.
“We have to keep working hard ahead of the preseason to be able to have the definitive bike for next season,” settled the rider from Granollers (Barcelona), whose best time of the entire test was set on Tuesday afternoon ( 1: 31.631 , third fastest time of the two days combined) with the 2021 bike.

Marc Márquez: “As everyone says, it went well”
Like Pol, Marc Márquez did not attend to the media at the end of the test either, Honda limiting itself to providing a small audio with the riders’ impressions.
“Well, it went well, happy, as everyone says,” laughs Marc in his summary of the day.
“I am happy with the work we have done, but it is also true that all the information we have collected has to be understood, since there was a lot of grip on the track. You could go very fast and drive in a different way than a grand prix weekend requires, because there is usually less grip.
“Everything and with that, I am happy with the work, we have been able to advance towards 2022 and test the new bike. Concept in general I think good, so good and in Austin even more”, concluded the man from Cervera.
