Pol Espargaró: "I've already signed, I'm going to the team I want and it's familiar to me"

Silverstone.- Pol Espargaró made it clear this Thursday in the run-up to the British Grand Prix that he will return to KTM next season, and that the official announcement will be made in the coming weeks, surely at the Red Bull Ring, within a fortnight. The Spanish rider will return to the Austrian structure after two difficult years at Honda.

In his first appearance before the media after the five-week summer break, Espargaró wanted to put an end to speculation about his future.

"I can't say anything, but I have a clear future. I've signed two years and I'm going to the team I want. I'm very lucky; I'll go to a good bike with a very good salary. It's the place I wanted to go when Suzuki decided to leave the championship. It's a family bike," he said, without naming it, referring to KTM, where he already raced five years before coming to Honda.

Then he did it as the official factory rider and spearhead of the project, now he will do it as a rider for the Tech3 satellite team after the KTM seats were occupied by Brad Binder and the recently signed Jack Miller.

Regarding the holidays and the news that Honda has brought for the second part of the championship, Pol was not very optimistic.

"I needed to stop to take a deep breath. I have the same bike. There are some modifications for safety reasons; to try to lower the temperature of the engine."

With the future resolved in another factory, Pol now faces nine races with Honda, with which he has had a real ordeal.

"It's impossible not to think about the first part of the season because it was horrible. I went from heaven to hell," lamented the boy from Granollers.
