Hundreds of people went outside to party and dance on the weekend. The police had to intervene – for example in Berlin, where around 4,000 people celebrated in the park.

Berlin / Dortmund / Munich – In several large cities, the police broke up parties with hundreds of participants on Sunday night. In the Berlin Volkspark Hasenheide even around 4,000 people had come together, as the police announced. Groups of around 500 people were disbanded in Munich and Dortmund.

Residents of the Berlin park complained about loud music late on Saturday evening. After the Christopher Street Day demo on Saturday, according to initial findings, participants also ended up in the Hasenheide. The emergency services stopped the music and asked the celebrants to leave the park. The operation was only over in the early morning, as a police spokeswoman said. Most of them would have listened to the instructions without resistance.

Party on the Isar dissolved

A party on a bridge on the Isar in Munich was rated by the local police at night because of the high water level. In addition, infection protection was no longer guaranteed and the number of participants exceeded the number currently allowed for meetings. Most of the partying youth left the party calmly after the police intervened. However, some party guests became aggressive and, among other things, a stone was thrown at the officers, according to the police.

Also in the Dortmund park of the twin cities, the majority of the police followed up with the announcements, but according to the police there was also resistance. Around 2:30 a.m., a previously unknown person threw a glass bottle on one of the patrol cars. In addition, a 41-year-old is said to have resisted the expulsion. Criminal proceedings have been initiated against her for resisting law enforcement officers. dpa
