According to the report, the teenager had visited the safari park near Tilburg (Netherlands) with two classmates and left the path for pedestrians despite warnings – the boys had gotten into the enclosure of the predators. A cheetah bit the boy in the arm and head. After outpatient treatment in the hospital, he was discharged. The two friends were not injured.

According to a spokesman for the safari park, the three boys had walked on a path that is only intended for visitors with a car. They ignored warning signs on the side of the road. When they realized that they had landed in the predator’s enclosure, they ran away in a panic. Nevertheless, one of the big cats was able to grab a boy. Visitors in a car reportedly called for help. An animal keeper finally brought the students to safety. According to the zoo, it is now checking all security measures.
