[Venice -] Many have been waiting for these pictures of the Hollywood dream couple: musician Jennifer Lopez and Oscar winner Ben Affleck walked the red carpet at the Venice Film Festival together on Friday evening, visibly in love.
It has been known for some time that the 52-year-old and the 49-year-old are a couple again after a long separation. So far, however, there have been few official photos of the two together – until now.
Love comeback on the red carpet
Now the red carpet on the Venetian island of Lido became their first big joint appearance after the love comeback. To the delight of photographers and fans, J.Lo and Affleck came to the premiere of the historical spectacle “The Last Duel”. With all that excitement, director Ridley Scott and Affleck’s co-stars Matt Damon and Jodie Comer almost faded into the background.
Ben Affleck seemed to be enjoying the moment: first he got out of the limousine alone, had himself photographed and grinned. Then he opened the back door – and Jennifer Lopez stepped out in an extremely low-cut white dress. Arm in arm, the two ran across the red carpet and beamed at each other again and again. Arrived at the premiere palace, the couple could be seen cuddling and kissing.

Elegant choice of clothes
While Affleck caused involuntary laughs at a first festival screening with strangely bleached hair in the film, he opted for an elegant black tuxedo for the evening gala. Matt Damon also cut a significantly better figure at the premiere in evening attire, as he was seen in “The Last Duel” as slightly chubby and with a mullet hairstyle.
Many had speculated on Affleck and Lopez’s joint appearance in Venice – after all, the singer has been posting pictures of herself in the city on Twitter in recent days. Bennifer, as the two were called together earlier, were a couple a long time ago. But then they separated, married other partners – and now found each other again.
New movie
“The Last Duel” is an elaborately staged Hollywood film set in 14th century France. Marguerite de Carrouges (Comer) accuses squire Jacques Le Gris (Adam Driver) of raping her. Her husband – knight Jean de Carrouges (Damon) – first goes to a count (Affleck) and then to King Charles VI, who has only one solution in case. The work is based on real events.
The British director Ridley Scott, who has already staged box office hits like “Alien” and “Blade Runner”, tells the story from three perspectives: first that of the husband, then that of the squire and finally from the perspective of the wife. “The Last Duel” thus also becomes an exciting work about the role of women in society at that time.
