The youngest son of the recently deceased Queen, Prince Edward, has signed the golden book of the city of Paderborn. In doing so, he did the same as his mother.
Paderborn – Four days after the funeral of British Queen Elizabeth II, her youngest son Prince Edward signed the golden book of the city of Paderborn on Friday.
The Prince had previously visited his regiment, the Royal Wessex Yeomanry, stationed in East Westphalia. The public was not admitted to the conversation between the honorary colonel and the British soldiers in Paderborn-Sennelager in the morning.
Prince Edward was received by Mayor Michael Dreier (CDU) and the President of the North Rhine-Westphalian state parliament, André Kuper, in the town hall.
The Queen visited Paderborn in 1965, 1977 and 1985 and also signed the city’s Golden Book. Queen Elizabeth II died on September 8 at the age of 96 at her Scottish country estate, Balmoral Castle. dpa
