Prince Harry faces harsh criticism for his 'Holland video'

Prince Harry’s promotional video for the upcoming Invictus Games in The Hague is making waves. The clip is not well received everywhere.

Montecito – In a few weeks the next Invictus Games will start in the Netherlands. The Paralympic sporting event for veterans, which was launched by Prince Harry (37) in 2014, had to pause for two years due to the corona pandemic, so the joy of the upcoming event is all the greater. In order to diligently beat the advertising drum for it, Harry recently published a promo clip. However, the humor of the royal does not meet every taste*.

Prince Harry faces harsh criticism for his ‘Holland video’

In the said video, Prince Harry tries to learn Dutch with support * and doesn’t look so bad. At the end of the recording, the husband of Duchess Meghan * (40) then slips into the full “Oranje outfit” and shows himself from head to toe in orange – sunglasses and hat included.

While the action has been well received by some Royal fans, critics see it as nothing more than infantile silliness. They are also bitter that Prince Harry will travel to The Hague for the Invictus Games in mid-April, but has canceled his participation in the memorial service for his grandfather Prince Philip (99, † 2021) *.

Prince Harry in the crossfire – “His grandfather would have slapped him in the face”

The Duke of Sussex * had to take heavy criticism for his appearance on social media. “Convulsive humor is always embarrassing… And convulsive, childish humor in adults is worse,” one user wrote on Twitter. “He can travel to the Netherlands but not even visit his own grandmother. Something is wrong with him,” read another tweet. Another user emphasized that it was “unforgivable” that he missed the memorial service for Prince Philip. A palace insider immediately expressed his displeasure to the “Daily Mail”. “His grandfather would have slapped his face and told him to grow up. The Queen will be devastated and so would Princess Diana if she were here,” said Darren McGrady, who used to work as a chef for Harry’s mother, Lady Di* (36, † 1997).

It remains to be seen whether Prince Harry will really not visit the Royal Family* during his trip to Europe next month. His cancellation of Prince Philip’s memorial service at the end of March is fixed, but perhaps he will at least personally congratulate Queen Elizabeth * on her birthday on April 21st. *24royal.de is an offer from IPPEN.MEDIA.
