Put music on NASA's next space trip

cancion-astronauta Do you want to be NASA's new deejay ? The space agency has opened a vote for the public to choose their favorite song to wake up the six crew members of Endeavor's STS-134 mission, the last before it is withdrawn from circulation. Usually this privilege is reserved for the friends and family of the astronauts.

The STS-134 mission will carry on board the Alpha-2 Magnetic Spectrometer (AMS), the Logistics Carrier 3 (ELC3) platform and various spare materials for the International Space Station (ISS).

Voting, which is done through the website https://songcontest.nasa.gov/, will close on April 19, the day of the launch of the shuttle. The list of ten candidates are: "Boogie Woogie Shuttle"; "Dreams You Give"; "Endeavor, It's a Brand New Day"; "I Need My Space"; "I want to be an Astronaut"; "Just Another Day in Space"; "Rocket Scientist"; "Spacing Out"; "Sunrise Number 1" and "The Countdown Blues".

So far the most voted topic has been "Sunrise Number 1", by the Asturian group Stormy Mondays, with more than 25% percent support from Internet users.
