On the occasion of her 50th jubilee to the throne, Queen Margrethe opens her jewelery box and shares her precious and unique treasures with the public. With a little delay, the monarch officially opened the special exhibition “A Queen’s Jewelery Box – 50 years on the throne told in jewellery”. As the title already suggests, accessories fans will get their money’s worth here. The Amalienborg Museum, located in Christian VIII’s Palace at Amalienborg Palace, displays more than 200 pieces of jewelry from Margrethe’s collection, including medals, necklaces and brooches.

Visibly interested, the Danish regent perused the exhibition rooms that tell the stories of the royal jewels, and her family kept her company.
