Mandalika.- The young rookie Raul Fernández concluded the second test day in Mandalika 21st with a record of 1.32.401, 1.1 behind the reference for the day, left by Luca Marini (1.31.289).

In the final part of the training session, the Tech3 KTM rider suffered a high-speed crash, which caused him a strong blow to the head that left marks on his forehead. Despite this, the man from Madrid considered the day of rehearsals in Indonesia as good.

"The day was very positive; we took a step forward. We haven't lost much; shame about the crash, which prevented me from riding the soft rubber," explained the rider.

After the blow, Raúl needed a few moments to recover his normal vision.

"It was my first accident in MotoGP, and the difference is noticeable. The accident was fast, at more than 200 per hour. After falling I began to see a little double and I got scared, but fortunately I recovered normal vision in a few moments," he explained. .

However, the tests did not show any significant problems.

"My head hurts, but mostly on the outside. Tests show I'm fine. The helmet did a good job, and so did the suit," he stressed.

Fernández finished at the bottom of the times by not being able to make the final attack, something that he hopes to be able to correct this Sunday, in the third and last session of the test in Mandalika.

"I am determined to improve my time tomorrow," he settled.
