Raymundo Artís Espriú, director of CFE Internet for All, dies

President Andrés Manuel López Obrador reported the death of Raymundo Artís Espriú, who since 2019 was director of CFE Telecomunicaciones e Internet para Todos.

In his Twitter account, the president reported the death of the official, without giving further details of the death.

CFE Telecomunicaciones e Internet para Todos was created during the first months of the federal administration in order to bring telecommunications and internet services to all areas of the country.

Artís Espriú was an old acquaintance of President López Obrador. In 2018 he was presented as part of the president's cabinet, as responsible for the National Digital Strategy.

His management at the head of the CFE subsidiary had the objective that internet access in the country would reach 92.2% of the population in 2024, giving priority to vulnerable communities.
