Red Bull winks at Mexico in the presentation of its F1

The Red Bull team presented its new car for the 2022 Formula 1 season through a video on its YouTube channel. The main characters of the Austrian team passed through it, from Christian Horner to his regular couple of drivers, Max Verstappen and Sergio Pérez.

However, the true protagonist of the day was the RB18 , the car with which they will try to repeat the Dutchman’s title at the end of the year and with which they will try to beat Mercedes in the constructors’ standings.

During the presentation, those of the energy drinks wanted to increase the desire of the fans to see the dark blue, red and yellow single-seater, and for this they used a particular method.

Before showing the decoration that Red Bull will wear in 2022, the Milton Keynes team left small details that will surely be liked in Mexico, since they compiled a series of messages on social networks that were projected on the car.

“The best luck to you, Checo, the legend,” said one of them on one of the sides. “You are the champion! Mexico loves you!” It appeared seconds later.

But the most outstanding, and at the same time the funniest, was “Long live Mexico, bastards” and long live Checo Pérez”, an expression widely used in the North American country and which will try to give all possible strength to its local pilot, Sergio Perez .

After this, Red Bull emphasized that Verstappen will wear the number 1 on the nose of his car for the first time, and did a kind of countdown with the #33 he usually wears, his teammate’s #11 and the final #1.

Once this spectacular presentation was made, it was time for the RB18 to see the light, although it is most likely to be a base model, since Helmut Marko confirmed that the definitive version would not arrive until the pre-season tests, which will be held at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya from February 23.

The first appointment of the course will not arrive until March 20, when the traffic lights go out in Bahrain. That will be the moment when all the teams will reveal the real cards and where nobody will leave anything in the garage.
