For families looking for a mid-priced place to stay with lots of amenities and a great location right on the water, Sea Crest Beach Hotel is a great option. Located on Old Silver Beach in North Falmouth, Sea Crest is blessed with softer waters than normally found on the Atlantic side.

Old Silver Beach is one of the few on the Cape that faces west, which means guests enjoy incredible sunsets every night. Beach butlers are available to accommodate you with beach chairs, towels, and umbrellas, and there are also roving waiters who take drink orders on the sand. If you want, you can also rent paddle boards, jet skis, kayaks, and other water toys.

Considering that it is a 15-minute drive from bustling Falmouth town, the Sea Crest Beach Hotel is the kind of place where most guests come to relax and stay. From family movie nights to a daily list of children’s activities, the hotel does a lot to keep families happy. There are small indoor and saltwater pools, a gym with daily classes (including water aerobics and yoga on the beach), and an on-site ice cream parlor that your kids will want to frequent multiple times a day.

For lunch and dinner, Red’s, named for Celtics legend Red Auerbach, one of the most winning coaches in NBA history and a former co-owner, offers seating in a charming ocean-view dining room and a menu. Ranging from lobster and steak to burgers and sandwiches.

Room rates start at around $ 149 per night in shoulder season, but double in peak season. Parking is free for guests, but there is a $ 15 per night resort fee. For breakfast (not included in the rate), the hotel offers a large hot and cold buffet and also a lobby cafe where you can pick up coffee, croissants and other lighter items. Be sure to check the resort’s website for special offers.

Best Rooms – Rooms are well appointed and very comfortable with fresh beachy decor, high quality bedding, and a small wet bar with a Keurig coffee maker and mini fridge. There are a variety of room categories, ranging from motel-style rooms and standard doubles with no view to oceanfront and oceanfront rooms with balconies. There is free wi-fi throughout the complex and flat screen televisions with cable in each unit.

Best Season: Sea Crest Beach Hotel is open year-round (weekends in winter only), with peak season falling during the summer. Due to its proximity to Boston, the Upper Cape can be very crowded on summer weekends, so mid-week visits can be more relaxing. Bargain hunters should consider the shoulder fall season.
