Review of Hotel Eve in the naturist neighborhood of Cap d'Agde

0

Cap d’Agde is one of the best known nudist resorts in Europe. You are in Languedoc, an area of great beauty that also enjoys good weather. There are beautiful beaches along this part of the Mediterranean coastline that runs south from the fishing port of Sète, where colorful fishing boats bob in the harbor. A little further afield you arrive in the fabulous city of Montpellier, so there is plenty to see and do in the area if you can get away from the resort. It is one of the many nudist and naturist resorts in France, several of which are located on the west coast of the Atlantic.

Hotel Eve – The Bottom Line

This hotel is not the Ritz, but neither can you walk around the Ritz in the upgrade. It is a 3-star hotel with 45 rooms and 3 suites, all renovated and all with much-needed air conditioning. All rooms are beautifully decorated and the private bathrooms have a shower or a bathtub, so please specify when you book. The three suites are larger and some have terraces overlooking the garden. This is the only hotel within the naturist neighborhood and it also offers apartments for rent. There is a heated outdoor pool and a rooftop solarium, as well as massages and beauty treatments in the spa, sauna, Jacuzzi, free wi-fi and satellite TV.

The staff are extremely helpful and friendly, from the owner to the receptionists to the waitresses.

Pros

  • It is the only hotel in the Cap d’Agde nudist community.
  • It has a wonderful, friendly and helpful staff.
  • It is only a short walk to the beach.

Cons

  • It is closed out of season
  • No meals are served except continental breakfast, so you will have to visit cafes and restaurants for lunch and dinner.

Description

  • It is relatively cheap for a 3-star hotel, from 99 euros per room in low season to 189 euros for the Garden Suite, which has a Jacuzzi. But it increases in high season (from July 13 to September 31) and will cost from 195 euros to 295 euros per night.
  • All rooms have terraces or balconies overlooking the pool or garden.
  • Satellite television is offered, but only BBC News and Euro Sports channels are in English.
  • The optional continental breakfast with coffee, juice, croissants, yogurt and cereals costs between 8 and 15 euros per person per day.
  • The rooms have a minibar, a safe, a hairdryer, a telephone, an iPhone station and a flat-screen TV.

Hotel Eve review

This hotel in the naturist neighborhood has a professional that surpasses all others: the staff is tremendously helpful. Most are fluent in English and constantly lean back to help with every question or whim. They are available throughout the day, as is the lounge, so it is possible to have a cocktail or a coffee with milk at any time.

The heated pool is surrounded by cushioned loungers and is a short walk from the lounge. It’s easy to spend your visit there just relaxing by the pool, sipping on that seductive tan, and sipping drinks. The hotel is not right on the beach, but it is only a 5 to 10 minute walk away.

Standard rooms can be quite small and, being a 3-star vacation hotel, they are not luxurious. If you wish, take one of the suites that are larger and with queen beds. The best is the Garden Suite, with its outdoor Jacuzzi that invites you to sit and look at the stars at night.

Since the renovation, all rooms have been air-conditioned, a must in this part of France, where summer temperatures can rise sharply.

There is a new spa that offers a Jacuzzi and sauna and various treatments.

While the only food served at the hotel is continental breakfast, you have arrangements with a nearby restaurant to order other meals (ranging from sandwiches to pizza to pasta) that you can then eat in your room, which is where the Garden Suite really comes into play. .

Overall, this is a great hotel that covers all your basic needs.
