RKI registered 8682 new corona infections

The seven-day incidence rose again slightly to 72.7. The RKI reports 8,682 new corona infections and 17 deaths.

Berlin – The seven-day incidence in Germany rose for the fifth day in a row.

The Robert Koch Institute (RKI) gave the value of new infections per 100,000 inhabitants and week on Sunday morning as 72.7. For comparison: the previous day the value was 70.8, a week ago it was 66.1 (previous month: 74.7).

The health authorities in Germany reported 8,682 new corona infections to the RKI within one day. A week ago the value was 7612 infections.

According to the new information, 17 deaths were recorded across Germany within 24 hours. A week ago there were 24 deaths. The RKI has counted 4,373,789 detected infections with Sars-CoV-2 since the beginning of the pandemic. The actual total number is likely to be significantly higher, as many infections are not detected.

The RKI stated the number of those who had recovered at 4,147,000. The number of people who died with or with a proven infection with Sars-CoV-2 rose to 94,618. dpa
