With a value of 232.4, the seven-day incidence increased again compared to the previous day. There are 18,518 new corona infections.

Berlin – The Robert Koch Institute (RKI) reported an increase in the official nationwide seven-day incidence for the fifth day in a row.

The RKI stated the value of new infections per 100,000 inhabitants and week on Monday morning as 232.4. Because there has been less testing and reporting between the years, the RKI assumes that the figures are underreported.

For comparison: the previous day the value was 222.7. A week ago the nationwide incidence was also 222.7 (previous month: 442.1). The health authorities in Germany reported 18,518 new corona infections to the RKI within one day. Exactly one week ago there were 13,908 infections.

7,207,847 detected infections

According to the new information, 68 deaths were recorded across Germany within 24 hours. A week ago there were 69 deaths. The RKI has counted 7,207,847 detected infections with Sars-CoV-2 since the beginning of the pandemic. The actual total number is likely to be significantly higher, as many infections are not recognized.

The RKI stated the number of people recovered on Monday at 6,478,600. The number of people who died with or with a proven Sars-CoV-2 infection rose to 112,223. dpa
