He’s an ace on the tennis court. Roger Federer also cuts a fine figure on the dance floor. Only his singing skills leave a lot to be desired.

Zurich – Swiss tennis superstar Roger Federer (40) feels more comfortable on the dance floor than when singing karaoke.

“You can always find me on the dance floor at parties. Preferably, of course, when there are no people there to film my moves and put them on the internet. On my birthday I was able to really enjoy it again, ”said Federer in an interview with the Swiss newspaper“ Blick ”.

On the other hand, he only did karaoke once. “I was amazingly bad. I thought I could do these songs much better, ”said the long-time world number one, who celebrated his 40th birthday last Sunday.

When asked what the felt age was the day after the celebration, the father of four replied: “I was doing surprisingly well. It was a bit like the Millennium, when it was thought that computers would no longer work. I woke up in the morning as a 40-year-old and noticed that everything is still the same as the day before. I was relieved. It’s all OK.”

However, at the age of 40, he feels “very far away from my 20s,” said Federer. “I was just a child back then. Now at 40 I feel like I have to be more serious. You used to look at 40-year-olds and they were mega old. Now suddenly I’m one of them too. ”Dpa
