The rider from Madrid will compete in the sixth round of the world championship at his home, at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya, and it will be the first time that he has a real chance of getting a victory, which would be his debut on the top of the podium in the Formula 1.

Carlos Sainz has always scored points every time he has visited the Catalan track, and on the occasion of this special race, the Spaniard has presented a unique new helmet design for the local grand prix.

Through a video on the Ferrari team’s social networks, the 27-year-old driver revealed the appearance of this piece that will become a collector’s item. With black, red and yellow tones, the Spaniard will run before his public with all the support from the stands, including the one with his name.

“Hello everyone! My home grand prix, so special helmet, one of the most beautiful I’ve had in my career, for sure. A lot of black, and especially a lot of red and yellow for Spain,” he said. “I hope you like it and that you enjoy my home race. See you!”

Carlos Sainz wants to win in front of his fans in Barcelona, and will do everything possible to lift the winner’s trophy, something that no Spanish driver has achieved since 2013, with Fernando Alonso, precisely on the same stage.

Before getting on the improved F1-75, the Ferrari driver expressed his feelings, in addition to explaining everything he suffered to fulfill his dream of reaching Formula 1. With a motivational speech, Sainz stopped to think about what he does a decade seemed like an impossible scenario, even more so if they had told him that he would end up in the most successful team in history.

With this and his usual #55 adorning the side of his helmet, the Spaniard will take to the track starting Friday with free practice, hoping to end up uncorking the champagne on Sunday afternoon.
