The Internet of things is the gateway to the fourth industrial revolution, according to various experts. That is why the educational commitment of the Samsung Innovation Campus 2021 is focused on the training of this subject, thanks to the alliance they made with the Autonomous Metropolitan University (UAM).

In its second stage, the program will train 110 students from the Lerma Unit of the UAM, who were chosen from a call where more than 700 students showed interest.

On the Samsung side, the training was provided to 8 teachers, in a first stage, where it allied with Code IoT, who developed the Capstone Project course. However, the idea of the program is to expand in the near future.

On the side of the UAM, the institution not only opened the call to Engineering students, but it was an initiative open to the different careers offered by the university, in order that the topic of IoT is not only a topic of careers in the physical area – mathematics, but also promote the interest of this subject in all educational areas.

For its part, Samsung, the company not only sought the IoT Code alliance but will also provide training kits with the necessary tools so that students can have a theoretical and practical course in this second stage.

“Samsung’s initiative is present in different parts of the world, in Mexico we have sought to make alliances with one of the most recognized universities in the country and with the IoT Code in order to encourage interest in new technologies, because we know that by training and educating can be innovated ”, Daniel Antonio Pérez, Director of External Affairs, told Expansión

SIC is part of Samsung’s effort to support the development of new generations, either by disseminating knowledge in institutions and museums, as was done with the “Building alliances, inspiring culture” program, or by encouraging young people to solve problems in their community. through technology, as in the case of “Solutions for the future”.
