The total eclipse on Saturday, December 4, will only be visible in Antarctica and southern Africa and, after several months of sunlight, since the sun has not set in Antarctica since October, you will experience for the first time two minutes of night, of darkness, thanks to the total eclipse of the Sun.

The Moon will pass directly in front of the Sun, completely blocking the light and creating a fabulous total solar eclipse in which day turns into night. Even for a short time.

The maximum of the eclipse will last only 1 minute and 54 seconds , so we will have to be punctual to the appointment so as not to miss this fabulous astronomical event.

The best visibility for this eclipse is from Antarctica and the surrounding waters. In some places the spectators will be able to enjoy a partial solar eclipse, in regions like Australia, New Zealand, Argentina and South Africa.

NASA will broadcast the eclipse through its website and YouTube channel with a view of the total solar eclipse from the Union Glacier in Antarctica. So the show is assured.

According to the official NASA website , the broadcast will begin at 7:30, Spanish time and they will disconnect the streaming at 9:37 am.

After the 2021 eclipse concludes, we will have to wait almost 18 months for the next total solar eclipse on April 20, 2023.
