The results of the analysis carried out by Marco del Giudice, from the University of Turin, and Paul Irwing, from the University of Manchester, show that among the factors that most differentiate both sexes, sensitivity, which predominates in the female gender, stands out above all. Warmth, cordiality, and apprehension are also qualities more typical of women. Emotional stability, vigilance and adherence to rules are mainly linked to the male sex, the authors conclude.
According to Giudice, sensitivity is an essential trait since it allows differentiating between people who are sensitive, sentimental, intuitive, soft or mentally weak, and those who are utilitarian, objective, unsentimental or hard.
