Silicon Valley Gay Pride 2016 – San Jose Gay Pride 2016

0

Silicon Valley Gay Pride is a very vibrant and well-attended event for California’s third-largest city, San Jose (yes, it’s an even bigger city than San Francisco, albeit with a fraction of the gay population). Silicon Valley Gay Pride (formerly known as San Jose Gay Pride) takes place in late August, about two weeks before another of the Bay Area’s largest cities, Oakland, holds its Pride festival. This year’s dates are August 27 and 28, 2016.

Here are the details about this year’s Silicon Valley Pride festival:

On Saturday August 27th, there is an EDM night party from 6-11pm.

On Sunday, August 28, Silicon Valley Gay Pride begins with a parade at 10 am along Market Street, beginning in St. John and ending in Park Avenue. This is followed by the Silicon Valley Gay Pride Festival, which begins at 11 a.m. and lasts until 6 p.m., was held along Almaden Boulevard, with entrance gates located at Park Avenue and San Fernando Street. There is always great entertainment at this event – last year’s performers included Debby Holiday, Steve Grand, Jeanie Tracy, MK Nobilette, Caravanseral, and Chase & Ovation.

The festival also features a Latin stage, interactive booths, game rooms, vendors, and a family garden, which runs from noon to 4 p.m.
