A partial solar eclipse will take place on October 25 over Germany. The phenomenon is also visible in Lower Saxony. All important information at a glance.

Hanover – On October 25, the sky over Germany will darken: the 2022 solar eclipse can also be seen over Lower Saxony. During a partial solar eclipse, the moon only partially moves in front of the sun. The result: the shadow of the Earth’s satellite is visible as a sickle. The time of the solar eclipse has long been known. This will take place between 11:00 a.m. and 1:30 p.m.
kreiszeitung.de reveals whether the weather will play along or whether the view of the 2022 solar eclipse will be blocked.

When asked whether a partial solar eclipse is a rare celestial phenomenon and when the next one is, there is a sobering answer: As a rule, there are up to three occurrences in the course of a calendar year. A full solar eclipse is much rarer – the last one was over 20 years ago. When observing the solar eclipse in 2022, however, caution is required – and special glasses are worn.
