Starting grid for the F1 race at Imola, Emilia Romagna GP 2022

With a sprint weekend format, the grid for Sunday’s feature race was set by Saturday’s 21-lap sprint. There, Max Verstappen prevailed over Charles Leclerc, as had happened in Friday’s classification, and the champion will defend the lead at the start of the Emilia-Romagna Grand Prix.

It will be interesting to see how Red Bull and Ferrari manage the 2 against 2 that will form between the two candidates for the title and Sergio Pérez and Carlos Sainz who will start right behind them.

**Zhou forced to start from the pitlane due to penalty: Alfa Romeo broke the parc fermé at the Emilia Romagna GP after the Chinese crashed in Saturday’s sprint race.

We remind you that after the loot of points distributed in the sprint race on Saturday (8 for the winner, and so on until the eighth, which added 1), on Sunday the same amount will be distributed as always, with 25 points for the first and adding up to the tenth. And also with an extra point for the author of the fastest lap.
