[Offenbach -] The new week in Germany begins predominantly warm in summer, but by Wednesday at the latest it will be more changeable everywhere. Responsible for the nice start to the week is Hoch “Isgrad”, which ensures a lot of sunshine, especially in the south.
In the north, the sun sometimes hides behind the clouds. “The maximum values are derived from this, ranging from 19 degrees on the coast to 26 degrees in the southwest,” said meteorologist Florian Bilgeri from the German Weather Service (DWD).
Even on Tuesday it remains mostly dry with lots of sunshine. The DWD expects temperatures above 25 degrees in many places. Only in the southwest are the first effects of the “Roland” low pressure area, which is approaching from France, already evident. According to the forecast, these may consist of thicker clouds and the first showers and thunderstorms in the afternoon in the southwest.
On Wednesday night, the showers and thunderstorms spread from the southwest to the east. On Wednesday morning they will reach Saxony-Anhalt and the central Danube region. In other parts of Germany, too, there can be longer periods of rain.
