The games festival that Tencent has announced does not seem to have an end. After showing Metal Slug: Awakening and Our Planet, now it’s the turn of one of the most important anime in the Japanese industry.
Project Fighter is the provisional name for the new One Piece game for mobile devices being developed by More Fun Studio, the developer owned by Tencent. It is a spectacular fighting game that will take us to the beginnings of the adventures of Luffy, Nami and Zoro. Take a look at the presentation.
As you can see, action is the order of the day. Authorized by Bandai Namco , the work allows us to recreate the mythical confrontations of the first chapters of the story, such as Luffy against Buggy or Usopp and Kuro .
The combos that we can do are really spectacular and at the graphic level it is not far behind, offering an aesthetic very similar to what we can see in the animated adaptation. One of the biggest curiosities is that inclusion of small beat’em up sections , being able to beat bandits or Navy soldiers very hard.
Nor does it seem that cinematics will be spared to show us in detail the most mythical moments of the East Blue arc . That fight between Mihawk and Zoro near the Baratie is excellently recreated. If you feel like sinking your teeth into it, it seems like you will have to wait.
Project Fighter for now does not have an announced release date and worst of all (for our interests) is that only its arrival in China is confirmed . We will see if it is a mass success in the Asian country and Tencent decides to export it to the rest of the world.
