The average age of Formula 1 drivers and teams by 2022

The 20 drivers of this 2022 Formula 1 season mean that the average age is 26.9 years, with Fernando Alonso as the oldest, after the retirement of Kimi Raikkonen, while Yuki Tsunoda will continue as the youngest on the grid one more year.

This means that the average will drop by almost three months compared to 2021, when the figure stood at 27.25 years of age. The Haas couple will be the youngest of the ten that make up the Great Circus, while the Alpine couple will be the oldest.
