The Burger Challenge at the PUB in Monte Carlo Las Vegas

0

Let me brief you now that I am in training. I need to get to the point where I can devour an 8 pound hamburger in 45 minutes. I should point out that I will also need to drink a 32-ounce boot of beer at that point, but I’m a pro, that shouldn’t be a problem. I’ve been in love with the beer list at The Pub at Monte Carlo for some time, but the idea of a massive burger that needs to be conquered is intriguing.

The hamburger was described to me as follows:
the burger itself weighs 4 pounds, there are 10 slices of cheese on top, and the bun weighs a pound. The rest of the weight is made up of tomato, lettuce, jalapeños, caramelized onion, secret pub sauce, and a giant pickle on top for garnish.

Really, this should be easy, right? Well the problem with an 8 pound hamburger is that it weighs 8 POUNDS! However, I already informed my wife that I had to stop joking that I was going soft in the middle. I take my job seriously and this challenge means something. I put a picture of the 8 pound Monte Carlo Pub burger on my fridge and I’m going to achieve my goal. If this means burgers and beers up and down the Las Vegas Strip, I will. I will do whatever it takes. There is a date marked on my calendar and I will break the barrier of my skills and conquer the PUB Challenge.

You can do this? I can do this? If I carry out this task, you or I will get a free PUB shirt and your food will be covered. All you have to do is eat everything in 45 minutes or less without leaving the table.

My training will start by sitting at the PUB in Monte Carlo and trying some beers. The list is huge and they have some great tasting options. You can choose from local beers, old world beers, American Craft beers, or the super fancy craft beers and a beer flight will be created to help you reflect on the taste of victory. You could also spend some time there during happy hour (3-6pm, Monday through Friday) eating $ 1 snacks and $ 1 Sliders.

Are you in?

If you don’t like competitive eating but still need a good meal, you should check out the options at Monte Carlo Las Vegas. Step out front and consider 800 Degrees Pizza, Yusho, or Double Barrel Saloon. They may not offer a huge burger that will clot your arteries, but they do a lot of things right. Yusho is a casual option for a date night, * 00 Degrees offers arguably the best deal in Las Vegas, and the Double Barrel Saloon is the place to have a beer with a view.
