The DGT warns of a procedure that you should never forget to do

0

Many times we do not think about it but there are procedures that are much more important than they seem and more if it involves our car and the DGT . In fact, the General Directorate of Traffic has alerted from social networks of the procedure that we must do in case of change of address and that we never forget it.

Do not forget! The DGT warns of a procedure that you should never forget to do

In the event that you have changed your address or address and if you have a vehicle, it is important that you notify the DGT. In fact, the DGT itself alerts from its Twitter account that you should not take more than 15 days after you have moved to notify it if you do not want to miss any notification that the traffic headquarters want to send you.

Something that does not seem like it but if you think about it is important since it imagines that they have to notify you of a fine and they send it to your old address. It is possible that if you do not know or do not remember it, you may run out of time and have to pay the fine and the surcharge. The same can happen with respect to the manufacturer of your car or motorcycle, since if they want to notify you of a revision you may skip it because you have not received the notification.

How to notify a change of address to the DGT

We see that it is really important to notify the DGT that we have changed address so that to carry out the procedure, we will only have to enter the website of the General Traffic Directorate through the option of [email protected] or if you have Electronic DNI.

We can also do it by entering the General Access Point of the Administration, again with the option [email protected], electronic DNI or digital certificate. Through this body you can also do the procedure to notify the Tax Agency , Social Security or the National Police of the change.

And if you prefer to do it in person, you can go to the Headquarters or Provincial Traffic Office or also, it can be done from some municipalities (which have an agreement with the DGT)

Finally, the procedure can also be done by calling 060 or with your mobile from the miDGT application (in the case of using this last option, you just have to open the app, go to your account and change your personal data from there).
