The Esmeralda Logistics Center has already started its operations. This is Diebold Nixdorf’s new home in Mexico from where they operate, in large part, for Latin America.
Diebold Nixdorf is a global financial technology and retail company specializing in the sale, manufacture, installation and service of self-service transaction systems (such as ATMs, point of sale terminals and software) among many other related services for markets global financial, retail and business.
In Mexico, the company has seen its growth during the last seven years: “Our operation has grown to be able to deliver equipment and develop integral solutions to our clients; It is a very attractive country for investment, ”says Arturo De La Rosa, VP Banking for Latin America at Diebold Nixdorf.

When leaving Mexico City, to the north, there is the new Esmeralda Logistics Center. The access by road is of recent creation, like the facilities themselves. Its reception is spacious and modern, but warm. Enthusiasm can be seen from the person who receives you, because one of the keys to the success of the company is to make the whole team feel comfortable and proud to belong.
“The location of the Esmeralda Logistics Center is strategic because we have contact with the two maritime ports of the country; we are surrounded by four highways to go anywhere in the country without having to cross Mexico City. It is a privileged location that has a positive impact on the benefits we offer to our clients ”, mentions Paola Alcaráz, Sales Director for Mexico at Diebold Nixdorf.
Today the spaces are larger and better organized, a great advantage for your processes to flow without interruptions and in a more agile way. “In addition, all the flow occurs in the same place: it begins at the disembarkation gate and ends at the embarkation gate with a cleaner and more efficient operation, which reduces our delivery times,” says the vice president.
In this way, they have been able to considerably reduce their times, since a download that previously took them 80 minutes, today they can do it in 30. And their storage capacity deserves a separate mention, in which they can house up to 4,200 approximately 4,200 ATMs in racks of four levels.
“In times, it represents a quantum leap to be able to receive multiple containers at the same time and unload merchandise in 30 or 40 minutes,” explains Eduardo Beltrán, Director of Supply Chain & Sales Support for Latin America at Diebold Nixdorf.
Today we have 11 doors and that results in a capital efficiency in terms of transport, with more controlled and established times than we had previously, ”he says.
Along with the implementation of new technology processes, having more extensive facilities allows Diebold Nixdorf to remain in the lead, as well as reinforcing its goal of becoming the logistics heart for the entire region.
