The riders of the premier class began the first free practices of the weekend this Saturday, since, due to the delay in the arrival of the material, MotoGP was forced to suspend Friday’s session.

During today, mechanics and engineers have done an exceptional job finishing the boxes and prototypes that make up the MotoGP World Championship.

This is an unusual day in the history of the two-wheel competition, which has left these first images of a weekend that will serve as an experiment for the World Cup for what Andrea Dovizioso proposed in the past, a two-day format.

The first to go out on the track at Termas de Río Hondo were the Moto3 riders for the free practice session, followed by the intermediate category, where one of the favorites, Pedro Acosta, crashed for the fifth time this season, who He has not had the best possible start in Moto2.

The MotoGP grid will have to race against the clock on a fairly dirty circuit, as the bikes have not ridden here since 2019, but they will also have to get used to radically different schedules, where everything has been compressed on a frenetic Saturday.

The local pilot, Gabriel Rodrigo , in a conversation with DAZN , explained what this change meant, since he could not even take off his competition suit between sessions due to the small separation between the two. In addition, the Argentine said what his meals would be like, where he would move away from the usual break between training sessions to make way for the consumption of a shake similar to the one before the race and an energy bar to physically recover from the wear and tear caused on his Pertamina Mandalika team Kalex SAGTeam .
