The Fujitsu company has presented at the CeBIT 2011, held in Hannover (Germany) from March 1 to 5, the world’s
first fully wireless display . The new 22-inch wireless device integrates
SUPA ( Universal Power Smart Access ) technology , developed by the Fraunhofer Institute, which supplies
electricity through magnetic induction from the transmitter antenna, which is integrated into the desktop panels or of the Office.
The electricity from the antenna is concentrated in a “hot spot” and the technology is completely safe, such as induction-based cooktops or electric toothbrush chargers. The screen captures images via wireless USB , from a desktop or laptop computer, with a range of up to 10 meters.
The new wireless portable display will receive a 2011 Universal Design Award .
