The BBVA Mexico mobile application presents intermittences this Thursday.

The bank informed its clients that the mobile service presents “some intermittences”, so it asks its users to try to carry out their operations in the remainder of the day.

“We regret the inconvenience this may cause and we confirm that our technical team is working to reestablish services as soon as possible,” the bank reported on its social networks.

BBVA Mexico, the largest bank in Mexico by number of clients and assets, has presented failures in the last year. The largest occurred last March, when the bank disconnected for more than 5 hours from the Interbank Electronic Payment System (SPEI), affecting transfers.

Until the first quarter of 2021, BBVA Mexico had millions of customers with a mobile app, which represented a growth of 27% compared to the same period in 2020.

In the first three months of 2021, the bank registered more than 264 million financial transactions through digital channels (web and mobile), equivalent to an increase of 70% compared to 2020.
