Pecco Bagnaia set the fastest time of the MotoGP test in Jerez on Friday, presenting his candidacy for the 2022 title. The Italian rider left his closest rival, Fabio Quartararo, with the Yamaha, almost half a second behind. Suzuki, Honda and Aprilia also stood out on the last day, with Alex Rins, Pol Espargaró and Maverick Viñales completing a top 5 with five different brands.

At the conclusion of his first MotoGP test, Fabio Di Giannantonio was the best of the rookies, 19th and one place ahead of Raúl Fernández , who finished early due to a technical problem.

Despite the usual secrecy of the manufacturers, we have been able to see some novelties. In Ducati highlighted a new engine, fairing and longer exhaust. Yamaha worked on the bike for 2022 with a new swingarm and some electronics. Suzuki brought a lot of parts, with an evolved chassis and aerodynamics among many other things. Honda , for its part, put two versions of the 2022 bike on the track. The few Aprilia novelties contrasted with the KTM improvements, both visual and mechanical.
