The coronavirus crisis has forced the activity of the Seat factory in Martorell to be paralyzed. The firm’s management made that decision after the confinement of the Ódena area and the risk involved in maintaining its production lines. More than 10,000 workers will be affected by the five-week closure, which does not affect its technical center, the Free Trade Zone plant and the El Prat component factory. This break will affect, as is obvious, the exit of the first registered units of the new Seat León , presented at the end of January. Despite the closure of the production lines, the brand has not stopped.
