The Mooney VR46 Racing Team announces its presentation date

0

The newcomer to the MotoGP grid, Mooney VR46 Racing Team, will present, together with its regular riders, the appearance of the Ducati with which they will make their debut in the premier class team. With several days to spare compared to the rest of the teams that occupy the MotoGP starting grid, the presentation of the Valentino Rossi team will take place after the tests in Mandalika, specifically on February 24.

This is the last presentation that the World Cup preseason hosts, convened after concluding the second and last day of official tests on the urban circuit. The debut will be virtual and will be broadcast on our website and on the team’s Facebook and YouTube channels, available to all fans who wish to see what Luca Marini and rookie Marco Bezzecchi’s Ducati looks like, the latter with a 2021 model.

Last January, the VR46 Racing Team officially announced its new partnership with Mooney , the team’s title sponsor for the upcoming season. Less than a month later, Marco Bezzecchi was already seen on his Ducati during the shakedown and at the official tests in Sepang, an interesting day for the rookie in which he was able to collect valuable information with which to work towards the first race of the year, convened on March 6 in Qatar.

Luca Marini , the team’s regular driver and brother of the now-retired Valentino Rossi, also took part in this test. Marini finished eleventh on the Malaysian circuit test day, five places ahead of his teammate and fellow Italian.

The rookie team will have Luca Marini and Marco Bezzecchi on the grid in the premier class, at the controls of a Ducati, and Celestino Vietti Ramus and Niccolò Antonelli in Moto2 with Kalex at their disposal. Thus, Valentino Rossi’s team will do its best to carve out a significant gap in the championship qualifying sheet.
