The new Crocs that Balenciaga has covered have become the most talked about on social networks this week, with users both for and against the design. While there are those who consider it to be very original and adapted to the 21st century, there are also those who think that clogs are a «shoe horror». This is not the first time that Balenciaga has collaborated with Crocs, but this time the creative director of the firm, Demna Gvasalia, has gone a step further.
Balenciaga’s new heeled clogs for Crocs
At the Balenciaga Spring / Summer 2022 show , the firm presented the Crocs ‘Stilettos’. With opinions of all kinds about them, there is no doubt that they have not gone unnoticed by anyone.
The new collection has been dubbed ‘Clones’ and, in addition to the green and black stiletto clog , it also includes rubber boots that will be sold in three colors: gray, black and green. For every taste!
It has not been made official yet, but considering the price of the previous Crocs designed by Balenciaga, we can get an idea of what we will have to pay for them. While the price of basic Crocs is just 35 euros, the model that Balenciana versioned, the rubber sandals that stood on a 10-centimeter platform, were worth 800 euros .
Balenciaga’s previous collaboration with Crocs took place in 2017, when a 4-inch platform clog was released in two colors: pink and tan. The footwear included a series of beads that could be hooked to the holes of the shoe to personalize it, such as jewelry and pins.
And to you, what do you think of the new Balenciaga Crocs for Spring / Summer 2022? They are a shoe that you either love or hate. There is no middle ground!
