The President of Taiwan Warns that the Country Will Not Bow "to Pressure" from China

Taiwan will not give in “to pressure” from China. The country’s president, Tsai Ing Wen, has made it clear that she will continue to strengthen the island’s defenses in the face of annexation attempts by the Asian giant.

“No one can force Taiwan to follow the path that China has set for us”, defended the president during her speech to celebrate the National Day of the territory, reported by the Taiwan News .

The Chinese Army sent about 150 aircraft into Taiwanese airspace during the first four days of October in what has been seen from Beijing as a show of “force” but has been harshly condemned by the international community.

In her speech, the president has assured that they hope that the tensions with the Asian country will relax and that they will not act impulsively, but that does not mean that they will “bend to the pressure.”

His comments come a day after Chinese President Xi Jinping declared during a televised speech that unification with the island “must and will be achieved.”

Beijing considers Taiwan as a province under its sovereignty and has ensured that the area will be controlled even through the use of force if necessary. Furthermore, the Government considers the island’s authorities to be separatists.

Aviso de Xi Jinping

The Taiwanese president’s words come 24 hours after the most serious warning from the Chinese communist regime.

The president of China, Xi Jinping, raised his bet and increased the tension with the West after assuring that his country works in the unification with Taiwan and that this “must and will be achieved.”

The US, the UK and Australia (AUKUS) are closely following the Chinese expansionist movements. The army of the communist regime has carried out countless air raids on the Asian island as a demonstration of the force it can use in a possible invasion.

The Taipei authorities have been warning of the danger of a Chinese invasion. Taiwanese Defense Minister Chiu Kuo Cheng said on Wednesday that China will have “the ability to seriously invade Taiwan in 2025″ and pointed out that the current situation of tension is “the most difficult” in 40 years.
