Formula 1 returned after two seasons of absence to contest the Australian Grand Prix, although it did so with more unknowns than ever, as the modifications to the Albert Park track made Saturday in Melbourne a litmus test to discover the performance real of the first developments of the single-seaters of 2022.
Free practice gave us a small sample of what we would see in qualifying, but no one knew everything that could happen in the third qualifying of the year, and here we bring you a compilation of the best images of the day.

The third free practice session in Australia gave us a great battle for the first position, where several drivers alternated at the head of the classification, although it was Lando Norris’s McLaren who was able to set the fastest time before the Aston Martin by Lance Stroll caused a red flag with five minutes remaining.
The Canadian driver went against the protections before finalizing the details for qualifying, so no one could drop Norris from the lead, despite the attempts of Leclerc, Pérez and Alonso to take that position of honor.
However, not all of the news happened on the track, as the FIA announced that they would be removing one of the four DRS zones that were planned for Sunday’s race in Melbourne. The reason, according to the note provided by the governing body, corresponded to an improvement in safety for the cars and drivers participating in the Australian Grand Prix.
The fast and fluid Albert Park layout would give way to an exciting and close qualifying session, lasting an hour in which the starting grid for the third race of the 2022 Formula 1 season would be resolved.
