These are the bugs and security flaws that the iOS 15.3 update fixes

0

Apple has been quick to release a couple of updates for the iPhone and iPad that fix several security flaws, including a bug in the Safari browser that allows websites you visit to see your browsing history and access other personal data.

Both iOS 15.3 and iPadOS 15.3 solve the Safari problem, as detailed by the company itself, as well as other vulnerabilities that had been detected within ColorSync, iCloud and other software included in the phone, as detailed in the Apple’s official support page. Don’t expect new features, as these software updates only fix some performance issues and privacy gaps on your iPhone.

Update fixes privacy issues

Like all previous iOS 15 updates, iOS 15.3 is free and available for compatible Apple devices : iPhone 6S and newer iPhone SE (2016), and iPod Touch (7th generation). Similarly, iPadOS 15.3 is free and compatible with these tablets and other newer models such as iPad (5th generation), iPad Pro (all models), iPad Mini 4, and iPad Air 2. To update your iPhone or iPad, go to the Settings app > General > Software Update and tap Install Now.

Apple has also started rolling out WatchOS 8.4 to all Apple Watch users in an unrelated update that fixes bugs and improves the performance of your smartwatch. To update your Apple Watch, head to the Settings app > General > Software Update, or do the same through the Watch mobile app if you have your iPhone paired.

iOS 15 also allows you to make changes to your mobile settings

Whether you have an iPhone 13, a 13 Mini, 13 Pro, or 13 Pro Max model, or you’re using an older iPhone model, you can customize settings to make your phone work better and fit exactly what you want. Although each iPhone model differs slightly from the others, they all run iOS 15, the last major software update for this type of mobile. Some of the changes you can make are these:

Adjust the incoming call alerts so that they do not appear in full screen while you are doing anything else with your phone, change Siri’s voice (although the default is the usual one, that of a woman). It is the first time that this can be done, and you will be able to choose from a small sample of voices among which there are also male. With the update you can also disable 5G coverage when there are no networks available and thus prevent your phone from consuming a lot of battery. Finally, among other things, the new update also allows you to adjust the amount of data used on a 5G connection, and you can decide if you want your phone’s network to alternate between 4G and 5G.
