They find a blue dragon in the Canary Islands

0

The blue dragon, as Glaucus atlanticus is known, is a species of gastropod nudibranch of the Glaucidae family with the appearance of a creature from another world. Now, a driver who loves photography has managed to immortalize one in the area of Los Charcone s, a nature reserve in the Canary Islands, not far from the bustling tourist area of Playa Blanca.

The blue dragon specimen, collected from Las Canteras beach, was identified by a municipal bus driver who is fond of nature photography who, after approaching the Los Charcones area, saw this beautiful blue dragon specimen in the sand. Just one day after its presence was detected on the island of Fuerteventura.

Neither short nor lazy, he opened a plastic canister he was carrying and picked it up. You cannot touch this type of gastropod because it absorbs the poison from the living waters on which it feeds.

The specimen measures just 22 millimeters.
