This is how the Saudi Arabia 2022 F1 grid was left with the changes

Sergio Pérez achieved his first pole position in Formula 1 by winning Q3 of the Saudi Arabian classification , and will lead the grid ahead of Charles Leclerc, his teammate on the front row and from whom he snatched the best time in the last attempt.

The first two rows of the grid are starred by the Red Bull and the Ferrari, and behind them, fighting to be the best of the rest, appear the Alpine and a George Russell who slipped between Esteban Ocon and Fernando Alonso.

Hamilton was eliminated in Q1, at the drop of a hat, for the first time since 2017. The seven-time champion qualified 16th, dropping to row eight on the grid, but two events ultimately led to minor changes to the grid.

One is that Mick Schumacher will not contest the race after the brutal accident that sent him to hospital and destroyed his car. Haas will race with just one car and all the drivers who were behind Mick (he had qualified 10th) gain a position.

In addition, a last-minute penalty of three positions for Daniel Ricciardo for hindering Esteban Ocon during Q2 on Saturday. Thus, Lewis Hamilton will finally start 15th.
