This is the most realistic humanoid robot in the world

The “world’s most advanced human-shaped robot” has been featured in a video posted by British robotics company Engineered Arts, and it’s amazing. He has been christened Ameca and his facial expressions are very convincing, he even blinks several times like a human.

Its synthetic muscle movements and motor controls are similar to humans although, Ameca is currently a testing platform for expression innovation. It is not finished.

The android is at the forefront of its field in terms of its expressions, but the next challenge will be allowing these robots to walk. The idea is to couple the shape of the robot with an AI on board, so that it can interact and respond to the person speaking to it, and even recognize their facial expressions.

At the moment, we are very far from that, but the company has explained that currently the face of the robot is housed in an ‘artificial body similar to a human (AI x AB)’ that has a ‘powerful operating system of Tritium robot ‘. How much the robot cost to manufacture has not been revealed as it is still in development. Your lower half is not functional at this time. For a humanoid robot, Ameca still can’t walk, says the Engineered Arts website.

Ameca could one day position himself as a robotic employee in any business or interact with guests at an event.

“Designed specifically as a platform for the development of future robotic technologies, Ameca is the perfect humanoid robot platform for human-robot interaction,” the company said on its website. “We focus on bringing you innovative technologies that are reliable, modular, upgradeable and easy to develop.”

Do you want to see it in action? Ameca will be on display at CES 2022, scheduled for January 2022.
