Because it has taken in a large number of refugees and asylum seekers, the city of Dortmund is demanding a fairer distribution. The numbers prove her right. Find out more here:

Dortmund – Like other cities in North Rhine-Westphalia, Dortmund has also taken in numerous refugees from Ukraine as a result of the Russian war of aggression. But as RUHR24 knows, the city does not want to take in any more people seeking protection for the time being – it demands fair distribution.

Dortmund in particular have felt the rush so far. When asked by RUHR24, the city stated that it was one of the major cities in North Rhine-Westphalia “that had taken in the most Ukrainian refugees since the start of the Ukraine war” (around 7,000 people). “The city has exceeded its target.”
