The FDA (Food and Drug Administration) of the United States has approved a “smartphone” that will allow users to perform ultrasound without leaving home . This innovative device consists of a Toshiba brand mobile, with Windows Mobile, connected to an ultrasound probe that enables the capture of images to see, among other things, the face of a future baby.

The MobiUS ultrasound images will allow the fetus to be seen through the mobile screen , but it will also be possible to perform analysis and measurement of the future baby, in addition to projecting a peripheral vascular image of it. Also, with the ultrasound imaging phone, the images can be sent via WiFi to the doctor so that he can establish a diagnosis and monitor the pregnancy.

The Mobisante brand, developer of the MobiUS system, has announced that for the moment it will cost between 7,000 and 8,000 dollars (from 5,141 to 5,876 euros), but they hope to reduce it by half over time.
