Practically a month before the start of the preseason at the Circuit de Barcelona – Catalunya, the Alpine team has started the engine of its new single-seater for the first time, a car that will be called A522 and that for the moment still has no presentation date.

Through its social networks and after several days playing with the famous first ignition of each course, the Enstone team made a publication in which it has finally been possible to hear for the first time the roar of a power unit that must be remember that it will be frozen from this season, so it cannot be developed for the next few years.

As usual, through the video absolutely nothing has been seen, since all the teams want to hide any minimum detail of their new car so that nothing is revealed until the first day that the car officially hits the asphalt , especially in a season like 2022 in which a new era for Formula 1 will begin.

In this way, we could say that the new A522 has already been born, a single-seater with which Alpine hopes to take advantage of the arrival of the new technical regulations to take a step forward and get as close as possible to some leading positions that last year were occupied by Mercedes and RedBull.

For the second consecutive season, Fernando Alonso and Esteban Ocon will be in charge of guiding the French team in search of the best possible performance, something that they did masterfully last season after establishing a magnificent relationship both on and off the circuits.

Despite the fact that lately there has been some chaos in everything related to Alpine as a result of its latest internal movements, so far, it seems that from within the structure they are quite calm and confident about a project that is off to a good start. could be key to the future of the French team in the highest category of motorsport.
