The Frenchman finished the race third in his open Alpinestars suit and received two penalties, dropping to sixth and losing part of his championship lead. Johann Zarco was second again and is already 14 points off the lead. Jack Miller closed the podium.
Marc Márquez added his third consecutive abandonment due to a fall. Valentino Rossi also crashed and only 15 drivers finished the race.
